A SUPREMO RESPONDS

Dear "If Selected...",

I feel compelled to respond to your Celebrity Columnist's latest comments ( 16 November ):

re: THE PSYCHOLOGY GUFF

Mr Sidaway has been meddling with Abbott's mind for weeks now, getting nowhere.

The management played Abbott on the bench on Sunday, clearly to Abbott's disgust. (The England shirt taunt made the decision all the easier, though.) Abbott, still seething, was brought on during the second half and got back into the scoring habit. The moral of the story is obvious: STOP TALKING BOLLOCKS, SID.

re: THE BITTER AND TWISTED TWADDLE

Mr Sidaway should be grateful to the management's 'human' side. How the hell does he think HE gets a game? (Add Estonians to the list of undesirables.)

re: SAGGING SUPPORT

Not only have our regular fans been able to sit and watch our matches in comfort this season, some of them have been made so comfortable that they have been known to fall asleep during games (no reflection on the standard of play). The management have yet to hear a single word of complaint from the season ticket-holding Spence twins.

Yours in power,
Scott
