PEN PICTURE The "If Selected..." View: The somewhat misleadingly monikered Hatton Minor (thus named because he arrived at the club some five years after his big brother Jeff) has in fact turned out to be a defensive colossus. A hard-tackling defender of the old school, Hatton has proved his defensive versatility be excelling in a central role as well as in both full-back positions. A good winner of the ball in the air and not averse to kicking most things that move, he has also perfected the perfectly timed, last ditch, goal-saving tackle which has become a bit of a trademark. Hatton is noted for his powerful kicking of ball as much as man, and has regularly shown himself able to pick out Row Z from anywhere on the park. After producing some consistently high-quality displays during his first two seasons, the Warrington-born defender missed a lot of games during his 'artistic phase'. But now returned and fully recovered, Hatton is once again back in the higher reaches of the appearance charts, and even bagged himself a goal against Prince of Wales a few seasons ago. EXPERIENCE
Logica FC Debut:
30th August 1999:
Oakwood 2-6 Logica. The reporter of the day noted: "There were plenty of 'regular' players missing, but all who played were very impressive and competition for places will surely be tight." |
