Welcome to my new hard-hitting column.
To set the ball rolling, I have several points to take up in connection with this collection of 'tat' they call a 'webzine':-
This cyber-rag has clearly failed the impartiality test when it comes to giving Sidaway a fair hearing ! The wise Supremo Fleming showed faith where Others had questioned. Look what he got - a fantastic CUP result against difficult opposition!
Hats off to Fleming and 'Hatton's-off', hopefully never to be seen again standing in for the top man himself! Also his 'press-lackey' can take a hike as well.
Kevin Spence - Man of the Match V Queen Vic ? ARE YOU MAD !?!
No insult to Spence, but he didn't last a whole game and when it got hard, he went missing (admittedly he was substituted by then...). Maybe its one of the twins who does it - which would explain everything.
Although there were 14 hero's on Sunday, I cannot help but say that Richmond, Fleming in goal, and Hatton Jr. all had better games than the ageless thin white Scot. Whichever mystery man (or woman ??) who chooses the Man of the Match should have picked one of the three above.
But (cynically) I suppose that's all you ageing North London striking Mafia do - keep it in the gang.
HOW LONG CAN FLEMING KEEP FAITH WITH ABBOTT'S PERFORMANCE IN FRONT OF GOAL??
It's a political tightrope Fleming is walking I understand, but surely a blind man wearing a blindfold in a very dark room can see that Abbott is in trouble.
Fleming is to be applauded for his man-management so far and its paid dividends with some fantastic results. But (and it wasn't his fault because of the inept managerial prowess shown by Hatton) Fleming is running the real risk of losing key games because of his (misplaced ?) loyalty to the goal-miss king himself Abbott !!)
One goal victories are all well and good but the demoralising effect of the term "Abbott's through on goal with only the keeper to beat...." has to be seen to be believed.
