A exhilirating pair of victories that took Logica up into third place in the table duly encouraged an exhilirated KFP out to the polling booth en masse. The statistics suggest that a rather remarkable 100% of the eligible electorate turned out to vote. We would prefer to believe that the fact that Reevaldo's mother has just renewed her BT Surftime contract is pure coincidence.
Whilst Skippy, Denners and Abbo all received honourable mentions in dispatches, it was a midfield trio who were battling it out at the top of the leader board. Jon Clarke's skilful and intelligent wide play, not to mention a brace of goals including a contender for goal of the season, earned him over 13% of the votes polled and third place. Also scoring twice, Craig Taylor's powerful yet creative presence in the middle of the park persuaded over a quarter of the electorate to doff their caps in his direction.
But at the the top of the pile with a statistically significant 40% of the vote was the hip-shaking Reevaldo. A text-book lesson in the art of the 1950's dribble whilst looking knackered, the Hackney hole-merchant bamboozled defender after defender as he jinked and jived inside and out. He also notched a goal, somewhat silencing those critics who liken him to Sir Stanley and argue that his finishing is not up to scratch. All in all, few would disagree with Reevaldo's election as Man of the Match, and it is also worth noting that he is the first Photographer in Logica history to win such an award.
