It was a heavy defeat, but the efforts of one Logica player stuck in the memory. A nippy and clinical striker by trade, Nich Fazel was asked to play in an unaccustomed right-back role after Fleming's vindaloo-induced nausea had forced Groom to don the gloves. Ever the team player, Fazel accepted enthusiastically and set about his task with relish.

A first half spent chasing and harrying our impressive opponents was worthy of note in itself, in such an unfamiliar position. But Fazel's 15 seconds of glory came about midway through the second half. In quick succession, the Nipper Skipper executed first a dazzling bicycle kick to hook a goalbound chip out from under the bar. And when the ball was crossed straight back into the danger area for a Lillington player to beat keeper Gill with a bullet header, there was Fazel again leaping spectacularly to pull-off a breath-taking Higuita-style scorpion flick to deflect the ball over the bar. Over-elaborate and completely necessary, it was just the stuff the punters pay to see on a Sunday morning, and twelve Logica spectators broke into spontaneous applause.

And you, the voters, emphatically agree that this champagne moment was worth raising a glass to, as Fazel polled four times as many votes as any of the other candidates in this week's Man of the Match poll. So congratulations Nich, enjoy your deserved award, and make the most of it for there's a couple of things that you may need to worry about. Firstly, your stirring efforts at right-back have not gone unnoticed in certain Puppet Supremo quarters, what with normal right-back Groom being away on international duty this Sunday. And if that wasn't enough, you should also beware that overheads are not very popular within Logica at this moment in time!
