Despite seemingly being able to pull a new world class goalkeeper out of the hat each week, the Supremo found himself once more lacking a specialist goalie in his sixteen man squad for this marathon double header against Holland Club. Step forward Nigel Hoyland. Well versed in the kind of verbal communication skills required to command the box, young Hoyzone showed that he had far more tricks up his muddly sleeve when it came to wearing the gloves.

At half the size of most of his opponents, Hoyzone excelled himself in coming to catch a number of crosses through a crowd of opponents. There was a selection of fine saves, the pick of which is already being talked of as the Save of the Century. A first time volley on the bounce was heading for the top corner as Hoyzone leapt cat-like to not only get save the shot at full stretch, but also cling onto the ball as he returned to earth. There was even time for some hearts-in-mouths entertainment as one scuffed punch glanced just the right side of his own post.

The stand-in keeper duly commanded most of your crosses in the ballot box as he won over 50% of the votes cast in this week's poll. In fact, such was his domination that only two other players were deemed worthy of a mention. Jeff Hatton received a quarter of the votes for yet another authorative performance in the middle of the back four, whilst two-goal striker Nich Fazel gained some deserved recognition from the remaining 17% of the electorate.
