The less said about this result the better, but at least the knowledgeable footballing public recognised the contributions of the highly promising central midfield pair that was James Buck and debutante John Marsh, whose non-stop closing down of the opposition and sharp distribution was at the the heart of Logica's first-half dominance. We can only hope that the somewhat disappointing result does not deter the former from flying back from Sweden every weekend, nor the latter from making a second appearance very soon. Abbott and Mike Marsh also somehow managed to secure votes; the former presumably a sympathy vote for not having any legs left, the latter, since he only came on for about five minutes, presumably a gratitude vote for bringing along his talented younger brother.
