The club's miraculous Houdini act might have just failed at the death, but the heroic performance of keeper Rob Sapwell was certainly magic according to the electorate. A string of fine saves in both halves enabled Logica first to stay level when they were under pressure early doors, and then to maintain their hard-earned lead for most of the second half.
A full-length tip around the post and a stunning reflex save to divert a point-blank volley onto the bar and over were the pick of many saves, but Sapwell's faultless handling and berating of errant defenders also helped contribute to a stirling rearguard action until those tragic last few minutes. Having had no keeper at all before Christmas, Booth's return from injury together with the increasingly impressive performances from Sapwell now mean that Logica are back in the luxurious position of having two world-class glove-men.
