It was an admirable and battling performance from the whole team from front to back, as an injury-stricken Logica held the league leaders to a draw. But one man stood out even amongst this all-round team effort, and it was Reevaldo, no less, who turned in an inspirational Captain's innings. He may still not be able boast a victory whilst at the helm, but this was a stirring individual performance that combined both quality and commitment.
In a game of few clear-cut chances, it was Reevaldo who provided much of the creative quality from the centre of the park. On numerous occasions, the Walsall Wizard adroitly ghosted past a series of flailing tackles, waiting for the right passing option to show itself. And when it did, the pass was invariably perfect. And when he got within range, the self-styled hole merchant was not afraid to have a go himself, most notably when his vicious, dipping volley created the equaliser. And if all that was not enough, he even displayed the rarely seen destructive side to his game, filling in at centre-half for five minutes whilst Chapman was off injured, and showing himself more than capable of hoofing clear with the best of them.
