Logica cranked back into action after their enforced two month winter break, and after playing some bright football in patches, a certain element of ring-rustiness was evident as they fell to a 4-1 scoreline that was perhaps a tad harsh. Steve Preston put in one of his best performances for the club, unleashing a series of sublimely timed tackles that kept Broadway at bay until one crunching tackle forced him to hobble from the field. Meanwhile Mitchell Grassie returned for his first domestic competitive game in fourteen years, and showed all the old quality as he continually prompted attacks from the centre of the park with a miserly attitude to possession.
