Logica bounced straight back after their first-day embarrassment, and a solid defensive display was the platform on which a hard-working if unflamboyant victory was based. And the electorate were in no doubt about the key men in turning the club's fortunes around so quickly, as this week's MoM vote was a two horse race run by the central defensive pairing. Hatton Minor was first past the post, his no-nonsense style in the air and on the deck denying the Dragons even the feintest sniff of a point. Pete Chapman was nearly as impressive, timing his tackles and interceptions with the usual precision. The pair have struck up a good understanding, providing intelligent cover for one another, both reading the game well, and, on this Sunday, providing a shield of St Georgian strength that no Dragon was able to pass.
