A seemingly emphatic Cup defeat was ultimately a lesson in finishing. Red Star carved out and took their chances ruthlessly, whilst Logica's periods of ascendancy saw little in the way of good chances, let alone goals. The latter saw Dav Gautam at the heart of much of Logica's creative promptings, his ability to pick out a colleague with unerring accuracy an exemplar for how the home side should have attempted to maximise possession. Elsewhere another bullish performance from the day's captain, Hatton Minor, was not sufficient to maintain the centre-half's record of winning every MoM so far this season. Like Logica, he will for once have to accept second best on this disappointing Cup weekend.
