A 3-1 defeat to West Six back in October at the Stade showed last season's Third Division Champions to be a more than handy outfit, so to bounce back with two consecutive victories against the same team in December is an equally fair indicator of a steadily improving Logica side. As in the previous week's extra time Cup victory, it was a brace of goals from veteran striker Mark Abbott that hit Six, and earned the erratic front-man a fair few votes in this week's MoM Award.

But the creative architect behind this week's victory was that other Lag Reevaldo, with a fine display of the central midfield arts that saw the Walsall Wizard run out as a clear Poll topper. The dribbles and visionary pasing were there as usual, but there was also more than a hint of tracking back as Reevaldo was caught winning tackles and harrying opponents on a number of occasions. It was perhaps the timing of his passes, however, that stood out, with the ability to see and play an early pass regularly feeding and freeing his strikers to the extent that Abbott really could have bagged six rather than just two. The timing of this Man of the Match Award was also perfect, as Reevaldo is now left to contemplate his next Big Match of two halves on 14th January, an encounter that the hole merchant himself wryly observed would see him undoubtedly star as the match of the man.
