A spectacular debut saw Nicky Wright bag two goals, as well as walking off with this week's MoM Poll with equally consummate ease. Given the team's goalscoring problems for quite a few seasons now, the youngster could just be the answer to the Supremo's prayers. Logica had managed just 17 goals in 11 league games this time out, but Wright had added over 10% more himself by half time, with two calm yet lethal finishes. There was much more to admire however, as the striker dropped deep and wide to pick up the ball, and was not afraid to make his physical presence known to the Hill back line.
The central midfield pairing of Reevaldo and Gautam was been one of the big successes of the season, and the pair again received recognition for keeping the supply lines open in difficult conditions. There was a nod for Mad Dog, whose saves kept Logica in touching distance to the death, whilst Abbo received what can only be viewed as a sympathy vote. His embarrassing miss with 15 minutes left was badly timed, not only since it effectively denied Logica a point, but also because it will raise questions about the old man's future on a day when a young debutante forward fired home two goals in such impressive fashion.
