The home fans are being spoiled rotten as Logica racked up a second home win less than a month after their first. Its always difficult playing against ten men, but the guile and goals of Mark Carter ensured that the Stade faithful suffered few anxious moments during an emphatic victory. Carter claimed to be feeling somewhat under the weather before the match, but still turned in a display that mixed attacking threat and defensive graft. The wide midfielder has increasingly impressed in a handful of outings this season, and set up Logica's first goal with a fine dribble and cross. Carter then crowned a brilliant display with his first two goals for the club in just his fifth start. For his first he ran fully 60 yards to get on the end of an elongated one-two and slot home, and soon applied the deftest of finishes to double his tally.
Despite a midfield lacking Reevaldo, Gautam, Fazel and Fernando, it was in this department that Logica won the important battles and established their dominance. The rare central midfield pairing of Craig Taylor and Ross Melville was outstanding and both picked up MoM votes. Taylor continued his gradual recuperation from a serious knee injury with his best display yet, as his tenacious and competitive style did most to tame the Lions. Melville provided good defensive support whilst constantly available to take a simple pass that maintained the momentum of attacks, and was justly rewarded with his first goal of the season. The Supremo looks like he will have a few midfield selection headaches for the next match.
