There was no giant-killing this time out as First Division North Kensington Utd ran out comfortable winners in the end, and Logica were dumped out of Big Ron. It could have been a different story if some early chances crafted from some good passing football had been taken. But it took centre half Pete Chapman to show Abbott & Co. how its done; his lethally executed 20-yard finish on 75 minutes reducing the arrears to 3-1. Any flickers of hope were quickly doused by a fourth United goal within minutes, and in truth, as the game wore on, Logica's month of inactivity clearly showed.

Chapman's strike together with a characteristically brilliant and feisty defensive display saw him poll nearly half of this week's MoM votes. But it was not quite enough to win the ballot, as an even more spectacular display from keeper Mad Dog Sapwell just pipped the defender at the post in this two horse race. We're sure that most of the winner's votes were placed for a string of fine saves that kept the scoreline respectable, and in particular for a quite breath-taking reflex push over the bar of a point-blank shot when the match remained goalless. However, we also can't keep help suspecting that the MoM clincher this week was Mad Dog's fifty yard sprint to get involved some handbags accompanied by a splendidly eloquent torrent of abuse.
