By far our biggest win of the season, but obtained in fairly farcical conditions. A pitch having finally been organised, it was discovered that Fulchester had no nets and no referee had turned up. A reluctant Fulchester substitute did a very poor impression of the man whose decision is final, spending most of the half sulking as far away from the ball as possible.

A relatively difficult first half saw Logica take a 3-1 lead through two goals from the injured , and an excellent volley from relishing a rare chance to lead the attack.

The second half became ludicrous and Fulchester relinquished all defensive responsibilities - quite surprising after our close encounter earlier in the season. Whilst there was little resistance, Logica still constructed some fine goals, and by the end of the day, Brian, the two forwards and had helped themselves to four goals apiece. 's goal made nine in total, but mention should also be made of Grassie's near perfect volley from 25 yards which thundered back off the cross-bar.

The spirit of the match was best summed up by Whitehead in goal who, after a long spell of inactivity, refused to take a backpass from the cornered . The big Scouse glove-merchant instead preferred the comfort of a post to lean against, and was 'forced' to dribble his way out of trouble!
