It was good to see a few goals coming from defence and midfield, since 41 of the previous 52 goals this season had been scored by players playing in one of the two forward positions. Not a lot of people know that.
The only blot on the horizon (since Skippy and his purple trousers were not present) was 's entry for Worst Back-Pass of the Century. did not even need to look up in order to play an exquisitely weighted pass into the path ot a UDE forward who could do little else but score. This was a little harsh on our keeper, , returning to the side after an absence of over a year - far too long. Still the popular keeper finished the match making an excellent save by diving at a forwards feet.
