The end of the run. The first defeat of the season. The only game this season in which The Mighty Jades have failed to score. Sick as parrots, Brian. The less said about this game the better. Logica created practically no chances, and failed miserably to win the ball in midfield. Upto half time however, the defence was sound and there seemed no danger of conceding any goals. But in the second half, a soft goal led to Logica's organisation collapsing, with the result that four more goals followed.

The first was direct from a free-kick. A floated cross seemed to have evaded all Gucci's forwards. One jumped and attempted to fist the ball into the net. The Logica players seemed to stop, and unfortunately the hand made no contact with ball, and the latter continued on into the far corner of the net. A second goal followed when a lobbed ball looped over the tall in goal, who was somewhat handicapped by the bright sun.

Logica sent into midfield and into attack, whilst only pulling back. A few chances followed, which might have been better finished by crossing instead of shooting. The three man defence could not cope with Gucci's forward line, and two further goals were added when the extra forward was set free to shoot home. A fifth goal summed up Logica's day when an unpremeditated hoof from the middle of Logica's half somehow managed to loop over the eight foot standing on his line.

So the unbeaten run of nineteen games came to an end, and all Logica had to console themselves with, was that at least the competition was the Divisional Cup, and not the league or one of the inter-divisional cups.
