Logica would seemed to have reserved their best display of the season so far, for age-old arch-rivals Sarkpoint. Explosive starts to each half of the match twice saw the powerful Jades accelerate clear of the Hackney side, displaying their rather tasteful bright orange kit for the first time (which made Logica's horrendous hue look relatively quiet). In the first ten minutes of the game Logica were so comfortable on the ball, their passing so fast and accurate, and their running off the ball so intelligent, that they rocketed into a two-nil lead, and did not even spare time to rue the missing of two further chances. and were responsible in both cases each scoring one and missing one good chance.

Predictably Logica eased off after this dynamite opening, and as is their way, gave away two soft goals allowing Sarkpoint to draw level. Firstly a quick turn from our old friend Roger was followed by an unreachable shot which in goal did well to get a hand to. Then a moment of farce resembled more a Laurel and Hardy script than a top-class game of football. A Sarkpoint corner was appallingly mis-hit, and dribbled pathetically towards the near post. in goal bumbled forwards hesitantly unsure whether to collect the ball or leave it to run out. Meanwhile, had no such dilemma, and with a wave of the hand, generously ushered the ball between him and the post, leaving it to nestle gently in the net and Sarkpoint to celebrate their good fortune.

A stern half-time team talk raised Logica heads again, and as the second half began, the Jades resolutely put their heads down, and got on with the job of resurrecting a lead. Within a minute a goal resulted from good passing down the right as headed home a firm cross. This was the boost the home side needed, and there followed an exquisite display of attacking football which brought four more goals and ecstatic applause from the watching hordes.

and each finished good moves down the flanks, before scored the goal of the day, if not the season so far. A ball played to 's feet in the centre circle was cleverly dummied by the man who claims to have kept Chris Waddle out of an amateur team in Newcastle. Everyone was fooled by this subtle ploy, except that is , who had timed his run to perfection before expertly rounding the keeper and slotting home.

An own goal finished the avalanche, but two further strikes were disallowed in tight offside decisions. The second of these exemplified Logica's attacking attitude to the game, as right-back 's 'goal' was disallowed due to centre-half being the last man at the wrong end. Sarkpoint did score an excellent consolation goal, but Logica could be well satisfied with their most emphatic victory over their old rivals, and their best performance of the season so far.
