A Logica side containing more injuries than Brian 'The England Captain' Robson's entire career, met up in Acton and prepared to gain revenge for an unlucky defeat inflicted on them earlier in the season. Team tactics were arranged around dodgy knees and dicky ankles, but despite this, Logica started very strongly and had gained a 3-1 lead within twenty minutes.

The forward pairing of and was at it's very best, creating chances for each other and finishing spectacularly. First scored with a glancing header, then volleyed home a cross.

Although POW pulled one back after a makeshift defence failed to clear a corner (heard that one before!), resurrected the two goal lead with a spectacular volley after a good run and cross by . was having an even better game than usual, which was just as well because a weak midfield was having an off day. , unleashed from goal into a central midfield role, may have certain similarities with Vinny Jones, but hard tackling is not one of them. made a competent debut, and didn't seem to have any problems adapting from his preferred 4-A-Side game. However, as has happened so often, the Jades capitulated after a strong start. At 3-1 down, POW were rattled and responded in an unimaginatively over-physical way, and Logica were lucky to have a 3-2 half-time lead.

The second half continued in much the same way as the first, and matters came to a head when the somewhat psychotic POW centre- forward squared up to centre-half . Given that this was the second match on the trot where he had had to contend with physical threats, the sensitive and cultured libero showed great character in finishing the match. Elsewhere, Logica opted out of the physical battle in great contrast to the previous weeks game. POW forced three goals after the break to give them a 5-3 lead. Some good chances and a fortunate goal which finished, gave Logica a glimmer of hope, but in truth they never believed they could win the game, and indeed didn't. A late goal, missed by most of the Logica supporters who had begun a disappointed journey home, added some justice to the scoreline.
