For only the second time this season had a full 14 at his disposal for the match v Bragança.
Logica started the game slowly but for once did not concede, and despite being overrun in midfield the oppo had to make do with a couple of long range efforts that went high and wide. The home side were a team who kept possession well, though, and had Logica chasing shadows for the first 15 minutes. Bragança finally broke the deadlock after 20 minutes, a long kick from their keeper bounced over the head of , and Bragança's striker was on hand to chip the ball over the onrushing [0-1].
To Logica's credit, the team didn't crumble, and created their first chance soon after. found space just outside the box after some good work from , but his shot was blocked and caught by the keeper. The rest of the first half was uneventful; was booked, whilst made a good save blocking a fierce strike from Bragança's striker.
The second half was to see a much improved Logica performance. Tactically, moved to a more defensive midfield role to snuff out the opposition threat from their spare midfielder. made way for at half time.
Like the first half, Logica were limiting Bragança to pot shots from outside the box, and it was the visitors who first carved out a decent opportunity. A good move involving all of the Logica midfield sent an advancing down the right channel, and his shot was hit superbly first time, but was just a fraction too high.
By this point and were both on, and linking up well on the right, with working hard on the left-hand side. It was who nearly set up the equaliser, a great pass played clean through but, with only the keeper to beat, he lashed his left footed shot wide. Logica were far the better side in the second half and their final chance to draw level fell to , whose shot from inside the box was rushed and didn't test the keeper.
So it finished 0-1, but Logica deserved a draw. Chances were few and far between, but the squad need to take their second half performance into the next game. The first win is just around the corner and the Logica of last season would have given up the ghost in a game like this and ended up shipping silly goals. This team have the potential, the effort is always there, and the confidence will rise as the first win comes. Let's just hope it comes sooner rather than later!
