Logica played Bec Utd for the second time in a month, and fared even worse than the 5-1 defeat just before Christmas. A bright first half saw Logica create the more plentiful and better chances, but still going in at the interval three goals down. A more subdued second half saw the deficit doubled.

The gaffer, , was boosted by the late availability of , which gave him a rare full complement of 14. The early action found and in commanding form at the back, although Logica were struggling to win the midfield battle.

Boosted by this show of defensive strength, Logica applied themselves to carve out a number of good chances. First took a quick throw, and when played the ball back into his path, the right midfielder darted past one challenge before firing a blistering volley that had the keeper beaten but flew an inch the wrong side of the post. Other half chances came and went before in midfield headed a clearance back from whence it came. The ball cleared the last Bec defender and 's pace took him clear, but his dexterous flick over the keeper again rolled just the wrong side of the post.

Logica had a slight edge at this stage, and their battling qualities were exemplified by a brilliant block on the edge of the box by debutante . But things started to go wrong when the somewhat less athletic tried a repeat block, and only ended up twanging his hamstring. He was immediately replaced by another debutante, , who would go on to show some nice touches and a neat turn of speed.

Worse followed when Bec took the lead shortly afterwards, completely out of the blue. There seemed little danger as their forward received the ball with his back to goal on the edge of the box, but he turned and his shot somehow picked out the one place that could not reach [0-1].

Logica continued to take the game to Bec, and created two good shooting opportunities for himself, one of which required a good low save from the keeper. A good passing move played in, but the keeper was off his line smartly to block bravely at the Logica man's feet. But as the half drew to a close, Logica were twice ruthlessly punished when attacks broke down. On both occasions, Bec swiftly countered and scored against an outnumbered rearguard [0-3].

After performing well and yet still finding themselves three goals behind at the break, there was an air of inevitability about the second half. The home side had already missed two sitters when showed them how it should be done by slicing an attempted clearance into his own net off his shiny new boot [0-4]. This was especially tough on keeper , who had made a brilliant double save in the build up.

Logica to their credit kept on going, but their cause was further hampered when limped off with hamstring injury. Half time substitute was particularly impressive at left-back, and Bec's swift attacking never the less continued and earned them two more goals. The first was slotted into an empty net after their forward had drawn the Logica keeper and pulled the ball back to a colleague [0-5]. The final goal was deflected home off a Bec player's standing shin after a complete air-shot missed a low cross [0-6]. Logica's misery was compounded when a late chance carved out for was fired wide.
