PERSONAL DETAILS

Date of Birth: 6th February 1972.
Religion: Italy, Italy and Italy.
Height: 1.82m
Weight: 78kg (I was much more after Christmas, got scared and read a book on a funny "new" thing called combination diet. Can't have bread and meat at the same time, weird, but it worked. Now I wonder : is this going to be any form of doping ?)

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Playing Position: Libero.
Playing Strengths: Shouting at people as loudly as I can. Diving and getting free kicks for the team. Winning tackles (even without looking at the ball). Clearing the ball off. Taking goal kicks and free kicks. Fooling the opposition by making them think we have a rock solid defence (I have a trick to do this: just before the match I make myself as big as I can!).
Playing Weaknesses: Anything to do with skills on the ball. I can't really say I have a goal sniff, as scored only once in my Logica career (plus a penalty!).

EXPERIENCE

Date Joined Logica: 2nd June 1996.
Logica FC Debut: 8th September 1996: Battersea Labour 6-2 Logica. It was down in Morden. Clarkie was our Supremo and he was quite excited to introduce the Italian style "libero" in his team. I did play as libero, and I truly enjoyed. But honestly I can't remember who we were playing, neither the score. Maybe I have forgot it on purpose?
Previous Teams: Ooh! Loads, especially when I was back in Italy. Names like Cuoiopelli, Ghezzano, Scintilla, Freccia Azzurra, Filettole, etc.. All names we will of course recognise!
Greatest Footballing Moment: No doubt we have to go back to July 1982, Santiago Benabeu in Madrid... Italy world champion, world champion, world champion... three times world champion!
Worst Footballing Moment: Uff, quite a few recently. Not to mention the World Cup Final in USA '94 or the Euro2000 Final. Oh well, but nothing was worse than losing to the Dutch at the penalty shoot-out in Manchester 2000....

INTEREST

Model Pro (Models His Game on You): "Soldatino" Di Livio ("the Soldier"). Can't put two passes together, but never stops fighting!
Favourite All-Time Player: Michel Platini. Such an elegant footballer, with so much style and football vision. A great mind on the pitch, that's what I liked the most.
Pre-Match Superstition: MUST arrive late at the Sunday game. It's not that I don't want to get there earlier, it's that I really can't...
Interesting Trivia: Uhm, I am getting sentimental now, but... Do you know why I like playing football ? Yes, of course, I like the game, but I like all the rest that comes with it: talking about how crap we played, going for the World Cup, reading "If Selected..." news, meeting up for any-excuse curries... there's so much more in football than just football!
