It was an all round team display that did enough to dispose of plucky bottom side West London Tigers. Whilst the team played some good football in patches, they never reached the heights of some of their best victories of the season, and the MoM electorate were struggling to pick out a starring man. In the end no fewer than 8 players received votes, but Suranga Fernando just pipped the other candidates for another cultured performance down the left flank. At the heart of most of Logica's better moves, he was also unlucky not to score when his well placed header was desperately palmed away by a defender to earn the penno from which Abbott opened the scoring. Manlio Trovato did get his name on the scoresheet with the decisive second goal (only his third ever for the club), and earned a cursory nod along with Abbott, Buck, Chapman, Hatton Minor, Preston and the highly entertaining Sutton.
