It has been a long season, and having eliminated any remaining threat of relegation in their penultimate match, Logica played like a team who had nothing to play for, somewhat controversially handing the title to Bald Eagles by a single goal in the process. It seems unlikely we will get much of a welcome on Broadway. However, the British electorate are a romantic bunch, and like nothing better than glorious failure. So it was that Logica keeper Alan Vaughan emerged from the ballot with a huge majority despite conceding ten. Although there was a press ban in place, the general concensus is that without Vaughan it could have been far worse. The talk was very much of spectacular full length saves from free kicks, and quite unbelievable point blank saves from corners, and so it seems that the unfortunate number one is more than deserving of the final MoM of an arduous campaign.
