The Supreme 4-5-1 master-plan to address the leaky back-line seems to be having some impact, as Logica kept a clean-sheet for the second week running to earn the team a first league point of the season. Clearly any tactical formation is only as successful as the players that implement it, and so full marks to the Logica defence who showed grit, application and no little skill in restricting Parklife to the faintest whiff of a goal.
It was no surprise then that the MoM leader board this week contained four of Logica's last line. Suranga Fernando was once again outstanding at centre-half, and went on unphased to put in a commanding display despite having been nearly decapitated by a first-minute kung-fu kick to the throat. Damo continues to impress in the full-back position where he won a World Cup winners medal, whilst stand-in keeper Andy Besant and newcomer Matt Downs (for the second week running) also polled votes for their excellent displays.
