Logica collectively plumped for a midday siesta, but at least a dogged defensive display maintained some theoretical hope beyond the hour mark with score only 0-1. Steve Preston was once again the recipient of a MoM Award as a series of vital interceptions and well-timed tackles contributed significantly to this state of affairs. The young right-back has put in some increasingly impressive displays and has been rewarded with a decent run in the starting XI. One of the few players to come out of this match with credit, he crowned a fine defensive display with a stunning (both literally and metaphorically) headed clearance off the line to foil a blistering volley that was heading for the top corner.

Predictably all those deemed worth a nod this week came from the back-line, with the ever reliable Phill Hatton bagging over a quarter of the votes, whilst his centre-half partner Manlio Trovato and goalkeeper-turned-goalscorer Mark Abbott also impressing a few of the electorate.
